There are two major Marriott Bonvoy developments from November that you may already be aware of. First, Marriott announced that Sonder has officially exited the Marriott Bonvoy program as of November 9, 2025, bringing an early end to a partnership that only launched in August 2024. As a result, Sonder has disappeared from the Marriott loyalty program, can no longer be booked through Marriott, and, based on our checks, does not appear to be bookable anywhere at the moment. We covered this change in more detail here.
The second update is more positive for members: citizenM is now fully integrated into the Marriott Bonvoy booking system and loyalty program. Following Marriott’s early-2025 acquisition of the innovative lifestyle brand, all 37 citizenM properties are now bookable through Bonvoy, and members can both earn and redeem points as usual. Known for compact, high-tech rooms and vibrant communal spaces, citizenM adds a fresh, design-driven option to Marriott’s global portfolio, particularly attractive to modern, urban travelers.
