The Arizona Biltmore has been a Phoenix icon since it first opened its doors in 1929. Often called the “Jewel of the Desert”, the resort was designed by Albert Chase McArthur with strong Frank Lloyd Wright influences, most famously seen in its distinctive “Biltmore Block” architecture. Set on 39 acres at the base of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, it combines the peaceful atmosphere of the desert with easy access to downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale. Over the years, it has welcomed movie stars like Marilyn Monroe, hosted U.S. presidents, and even claims to be the birthplace of the Tequila Sunrise. Following a multi-million dollar renovation completed in 2021, the Biltmore now blends its historic charm with modern luxury, offering a full-service spa, seven dining outlets, seven swimming pools, and a 65-foot waterslide. Guests enjoy pet-friendly rooms, access to two championship golf courses, a modern fitness center, and outdoor event spaces.
It’s the kind of place where the setting is as much a part of the experience as the stay itself.
Our Impressions
We stayed three nights at the Arizona Biltmore, booking through GajaDreams Hotels with the Hilton for Luxury “Stay 3, Pay 2” deal, basically one free night right off the bat. Our stay was amazing. The resort is conveniently located in the heart of Phoenix: the drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport took less than 20 minutes, and both Downtown Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale were just a short trip away. We came directly from another great Hilton resort, the Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale, with a 35-minute Lyft ride between the two properties.
Thanks to the Hilton app, we already knew about our upgrade: from a standard resort room to a balcony room in the Paradise Wing. Even though the weather during our stay was very hot, we really appreciated the balcony, which gave us an excellent view of the green gardens and nearby mountains. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. We enjoyed long walks through the large resort, which is naturally divided into wings with different swimming pools. One of our favorite spots was the pool at the Terrace Wing, where we sat under the palms. The resort also offers a family pool with waterslides and an adult-only pool with its own bar, so there’s something for every type of guest. You can explore the full resort layout directly on the Arizona Biltmore website.
For dining, we had all our meals at McArthur’s, the resort’s all-day restaurant with American cuisine. The food was consistently excellent, and the service matched it—friendly, attentive, and professional.
Perks That Made the Stay Better
On top of all this, the perks from booking through GajaDreams Hotels made the stay even better. As Hilton Diamond members, we received a $50 daily Food & Beverage credit. The Hilton for Luxury package then stacked on $60 per day for breakfast plus a one-time $100 hotel credit, giving us $430 in dining credits for the stay.
No Status? No Problem
And here’s the best part: you don’t need elite status to get benefits like these. Every booking through GajaDreams Hotels includes complimentary breakfast for two (in the U.S. often provided as a food & beverage credit), a $100 hotel credit per stay, double Hilton Honors points, early check-in and late check-out when available, and room upgrades when available. All of that is built in, no loyalty status required.
Conclusion
The resort was everything you hope it’ll be: breathtaking architecture, beautiful grounds, excellent dining, and a layout that makes it easy to both relax and explore. With the right booking path, it turned into one of those trips where you feel like you’ve outsmarted the system.
Same stay, better benefits. Don’t leave perks on the table.
