One of the most luxurious hotels in Beijing is strategically located in the vibrant Chaoyang District near Central Beijing.
Stuffed Toys
We stayed at Conrad Beijing for three nights in July 2024. During check-in, we asked if they had any stuffed toys. The receptionist was very friendly and immediately provided us with two blue teddy bears. Shortly after we arrived in our room, another hotel employee brought us two red teddy bears. In the bathroom, we found a yellow rubber duck. We truly appreciated these thoughtful touches!
The hotel has made several changes to their mascot over the years. For many years, their mascot was a panda in several variants. At the beginning of 2024, the hotel completely changed the stuffed toy, offering blue and red teddy bears. Currently, the teddy bear retains the same design but is much smaller in size.

Hotel Review
In July 2014, we spent three nights at Conrad Beijing, a 29-story building with a futuristic façade in the heart of Beijing’s Chaoyang area, just a 20-minute drive from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
The hotel lobby is somewhat smaller and darker, but at first glance, a wall made of rainbow tiles catches your eye. Our check-in was smooth, and as Diamond guests, we were upgraded to an executive room on a high floor. The room is spacious with a light cream monochromatic design and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a pleasant and airy atmosphere. Additional features include a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with a bathtub and rain shower, also with a floor-to-ceiling window. The room has a timeless design and is in good condition, especially considering the hotel opened in 2013. There are only minor signs of wear and tear in some parts of the bathroom.
Our room had an amazing view of Tuanjie Lake Park, which is just across the street and perfect for an evening stroll.
The highlight of the hotel is the executive lounge for elite guests, open all day. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 11 am with a smaller buffet than the main breakfast area, the all-day dining spot Chapter, and you can also order à la carte meals. Afternoon tea is available from 3 to 5 pm, and happy hour with alcoholic drinks and a very good buffet runs from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The service in the executive lounge was consistently excellent, very helpful, and professional.
The hotel also offers an indoor swimming pool, spa, and a well-equipped fitness center in the basement, though without natural daylight. However, the weather during our stay was great, so we preferred to spend time outside sightseeing.
Overall, this was a very positive experience for us, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again when we return to Beijing.
