Stuffed Toys
We stayed at Conrad Chongqing in July 2024, just a few weeks after the hotel opened. They have a fantastic selection of unique teddy bear mascots! One teddy bear and a blue rubber duck were waiting for us in the room after check-in, and you can purchase another five bears—three smaller ones and two large ones—at the reception or order them on WeChat for delivery to your hotel room or anywhere in China.
Hotel Review
Conrad Chongqing shares a building with DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing Nan’an, with Conrad occupying the upper floors. The stunning sky lobby and all-day dining restaurant, The Peak, are located on the 52nd floor. The executive lounge for Diamond guests and those in executive rooms and suites is on the 50th floor, while the fitness center and indoor swimming pool are on the 55th floor.
After a smooth check-in, we headed to our room. We were upgraded from a King Deluxe Room to a King Premier Room, which proved to be a fantastic upgrade. The Premier Room is significantly larger (73 sq m or 786 sq ft compared to 48 sq m or 517 sq ft) and features a corner layout with large floor-to-ceiling windows, making the space feel airy and full of light. The room comfortably includes a round table with two chairs and a living area with a sofa, a small round table, and a chair. The large marble bathroom features a full-sized circular bathtub and a rain shower, along with a small walk-in closet. The design of the new room is elegant, combining creamy and brown tones beautifully.
The executive lounge on the 50th floor is open from 10:30 am to 11 pm and offers afternoon tea from 3-5 pm, featuring two types of sandwiches, desserts, and fruits. Happy hour, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, includes a buffet and alcoholic drinks. The selection of salads, cold dishes, hot meals, desserts, and fruits was amazing, and everything tasted delicious.
Breakfast was served at the all-day dining restaurant, The Peak, from 6:30 to 10 am. The breakfast buffet provided a great selection of local and international meals, and we could also order egg dishes from the small menu.
Besides The Peak, there is also the lobby lounge Mist, open all day and offering afternoon tea and live music in the evening. On the 53rd floor, the Chinese restaurant YU offers lunch and dinner in Sichuan style.
We were very excited to stay at this brand new hotel, especially since we couldn’t find many reviews. This hotel perfectly embodies our vision of what a Conrad hotel and a luxury hotel should be. Everything was perfect: the property and common areas, room furnishings, the quality and selection of meals in the executive lounge and at The Peak, and the exceptional staff, who were very helpful and kind.
