Hotel Review
Dalian is a favorite vacation city for Chinese tourists, known for its beautiful beaches and pleasant climate. Conrad Dalian is conveniently located by the seaside in the business quarter, just steps from the International Conference Center, in a walking distance to the European Village and Water Park. The hotel shares a building with Hilton Dalian, with Conrad occupying the upper floors from the 29th to the 38th floor.
Though the hotel’s exterior looks modern, the interior boasts a very classical style with high ceilings, plenty of marble, and robust crystal chandeliers. The lobby is impressive, featuring two huge pillars and a large painting with a Chinese theme. After a smooth check-in, we headed directly to our room. We were upgraded to the King Executive Corner Room on the highest floor, where the executive lounge is also located. We loved this airy room filled with light and offering beautiful panoramic views of Dalian Bay and Port. The furnishings were also very classical and in excellent condition. Through a small walk-in closet, you can access the marble bathroom with a bathtub and rain shower, also full of light and with stunning views.
The executive lounge for Diamond members and guests in executive rooms and suites is open daily from 6:30 am to 9 pm, offering afternoon tea from 3 to 5 pm and happy hour from 6 to 8 pm. Breakfast is also served in the Hilton all-day dining restaurant on the 1st floor. One morning, we wanted to try it, but it was very busy, so we returned to the lovely lounge, which had a smaller selection but a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. The afternoon tea and happy hour in the executive lounge were amazing. Afternoon tea offered sandwiches, salads, sushi, desserts, yogurt, and fruits. During happy hour, we enjoyed a large selection of cold and warm dishes, soup, salads, and, of course, desserts and fruits. Alcohol was also served during that time. The executive lounge was a very large, quiet area perfect for relaxing, and the staff there were excellent, kind, and helpful.
We have very positive memories of this hotel, and when we return to northern China, we will definitely stay at this Hilton property again.
