Conrad Maldives spans two stunning islands, connected by a scenic bridge. Each island has its own unique vibe—the main island, with its beach villas, is lively and great for families, while the adults-only island, home to overwater villas, is peaceful and private.
Our Accommodation Choices: Overwater vs. Beach Villas
On our first visit, we stayed in an Overwater Villa on the adults-only island and even had the chance to experience three different overwater villa categories during our stay. This time, we opted for the newly renovated Beach Villa on the main island, nestled among lush greenery and just steps from the white sand beach.
Both options are incredible:
- The Overwater Villas are perfect for those seeking uninterrupted ocean views and direct access to the water.
- The Beach Villas provide a private tropical oasis, ideal for those who love the feeling of sand between their toes.
Exceptional Service
The service at Conrad Maldives is truly world-class. Upon arrival, each guest is assigned a personal host who ensures every detail of your stay is perfect. You can easily stay in touch with them via WhatsApp, and they are available day and night to assist with anything you need.
Our host, Hossein, was outstanding—always attentive, friendly, and ready to help at any moment. The exceptional service extended to the entire team, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable.
Breakfast Bliss: Two Unique Options
For the breakfast guests can choose between two excellent options, each offering a unique experience: Atoll Market or Vilu Restaurant.
If you’re a fan of variety, the Atoll Market is the place to be. This spacious buffet restaurant has everything you can think of—from fresh fruits and pastries to international hot dishes and live cooking stations.
For a more relaxed and intimate setting, head to Vilu Restaurant. The buffet here is smaller, the highlight at Vilu is the extensive à la carte menu, where you can order a wide range of freshly prepared dishes. From eggs benedict to exotic Maldivian specialties.
We couldn’t decide which option was better, so we alternated—one morning at Atoll Market and the next at Vilu.
Exclusive Happy Hour for Elite Hilton Honors Members
A unique perk at Conrad Maldives is the happy hour for Hilton Gold and Diamond members—a benefit that many resorts have phased out but is still proudly offered here.
Every day from 4 to 5 pm in Vilu Restaurant, elite members can enjoy a selection of complimentary snacks, soft drinks, and selected alcoholic beverages. The happy hour is a lovely opportunity to relax with a plate of delicious bites, sip on your favorite drink, and take in the stunning views.
Culinary Adventures at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island
During our last visit, we had an unforgettable dinner at Ithaa, the resort’s iconic underwater restaurant. It was a magical evening, surrounded by colorful marine life as we enjoyed a delicious set menu. It’s still one of our favorite dining memories.
We also tried Sunset Grill, had casual bites at Rangali Bar, and enjoyed the meals through in-room dining. The food at every restaurant was of excellent quality!
This time, we decided to explore also some of the restaurants we hadn’t tried before, and they did not disappoint!
We started with a visit to Vilu, the resort’s Italian-inspired gem. We chose classic Italian noodles, paired with an excellent selection of freshly baked bread and flavorful spreads as appetizers.
The highlight of our visit was dinner at Ufaa by Jereme Leung. We sat on the terrace with an amazing view of the ocean and a beautiful sunset that made the evening extra special. The atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious Chinese-inspired dishes made it a meal to remember. Everything was prepared perfectly, and Ufaa quickly became the best dining experience of our stay!
The resort features 12 dining options, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and special beach dining events.
- Koko Grill, a Japanese show-cooking restaurant, and Ithaa, the iconic underwater restaurant, both offer set menus. Prices are $302++ for dinner at Koko Grill, and $270++ for lunch or $340++ for dinner at Ithaa.
- Atoll Market serves a daily buffet dinner for $160++ per person.
- For a more budget-friendly option, Rangali Bar offers main dishes priced around $30–40++ per meal. Other restaurants feature main dishes in the $40–60++ range.
Note that a 10% service charge and 16% taxes are added to all menu prices.

Snorkeling: A Complimentary Highlight
One of the best parts of our trip was exploring the amazing marine life around the resort. Conrad Maldives provides free snorkeling equipment, so you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters and see the underwater world at no extra cost. 🐠
The house reef is full of colorful fish, corals, and sometimes even turtles. It’s an activity you shouldn’t miss during your stay!
