Hotel Review
Conrad Tianjin was a charming surprise for us. We were impressed as soon as we entered the hotel lobby. The whole hotel has an Art Deco style that reminds you of the Great Gatsby era. Jazz music plays throughout the property, and you’ll notice a blend of Eastern and Western themes. The lobby is stunning with white marble walls, molded ceilings, big crystal chandeliers, black stone statues, and large vases filled with hundreds of colorful tulips.
We arrived about an hour before check-in time. The receptionist apologized that our room wasn’t ready yet because the hotel was fully booked the previous night. She kindly suggested we wait in the executive lounge, but we opted to explore the hotel surroundings instead. When we returned shortly before 3 pm, our room was ready, and our luggage had already been delivered.
We were given an executive room on the ninth floor, where the executive lounge is also located. The room appeared newly furnished, spacious, and decorated in pleasant color combinations with gold and red accents. The bathtub is a standout feature, freestanding in the room, but the entire bathroom area can be separated by a sliding door for privacy.
The executive lounge is open from 2 pm to 11 pm daily, offering soft and hot drinks throughout the day. Afternoon tea is served from 2 pm to 4 pm, featuring two types of sandwiches, desserts, and fruits. The highlight of our stay was the happy hour, starting at 5:30 pm, which included a buffet and alcoholic drinks. The selection of salads, cold dishes, and hot meals was amazing, and everything tasted delicious.
The indoor pool is also worth visiting. 25m long swimming pool matches the hotel’s stylish design with a large whale tail sculpture. The well-equipped fitness is next to the swimming pool.
This hotel was a hidden gem for us, and we hope to be back soon.
