We stayed at Conrad Urumqi in July 2024 and were lucky to find also the large bear, which comes with the mooncake. But also the regular bear and the duck are awesome.
Hotel Review
Conrad Urumqi occupies the impressive sky scrapper just next to the luxury shopping mall. Also this hotel has a sky lobby, on the 37th floor and with a beautiful panoramic view of the city. There are a sky lobby lounge and an executive lounge on the same floor as well.
Hotel was opened in 2021 and everything seems still very new and well maintained. The hotel’s facilities are in modern contemporary design, in many ways referring to the city’s rich history on the Silk Road, like the colourful rich fabrics in the sky lobby lounge.
We were upgraded to the King Premium Room with pleasant 60 sq.m (646 sq. ft.) that was modern furnished featuring a walk-in closet and a black-and-white marble bathroom with bathtub and rain shower.
Executive lounge offers afternoon tea from 4 to 6 pm and happy hour from 6 to 8 pm and similarly to other Chinese Conrads the selection was amazing. For afternoon tea small sandwiches, desserts and fruits, for happy hour buffet with cold appetizers, hot meals, desserts and fruits. Breakfast on the 6th floor at Centro was also amazing, with rich Chinese and international selection and also traditional local food and drinks like salted milk tea and naan bread.
We can again only to recommend this Conrad hotel, our stay was great also thanks to the lovely helpful staff.
