Building on a highly successful 2023, which saw the opening of 395 hotels and approximately 63,000 rooms, Hilton continues its impressive global expansion into 2024. This year promises further growth and exciting new ventures as Hilton breaks ground in emerging markets and introduces new hotels around the world. Let’s explore some of the most interesting and anticipated openings of the year.
New Hilton Hotels openings
As a big fans of Conrad brand, we are excited always, when we hear about openings of new Conrad hotels. This year is also special for us with three Conrad openings.
Already in January 2024 opened Conrad Orlando with its incredible 8-acre (32,375 m2) lagoon with beach area.
We had the pleasure of staying at Conrad Orlando during its early days of operation in February 2024 and brought back an exclusive review. This brand-new resort is definitely worth a visit.
In February 2024, the Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour opened in a premium waterfront location in the heart of downtown Manama, just minutes away from key attractions and business venues. We plan to visit this hotel in August and are already thrilled to provide you with a review.
In June 2024, another brand-new Conrad hotel will open in China: Conrad Chongqing. We are excited to stay at this hotel in July.
With so many Hilton openings this year, we’ve highlighted only those that caught our attention.
Lovers of sun, beaches, and good food will be thrilled about the opening of 10 new Hilton hotel resorts in the Mediterranean: 2 new Curio hotels in Ibiza (Spain), 1 DoubleTree in Malta, 1 Curio in Sardinia (Italy), 1 Curio hotel in Croatia, and 5 Curio hotels in Greece. This is a very significant development in the stunning Mediterranean region.
In June, the enchanting Azores Islands, known for their volcanic landscapes and bubbling thermal waters, will welcome their first Hilton-branded hotel: DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores.
The second Hilton hotel opened in May in Vilnius. The Grand Hotel Vilnius, Curio Collection by Hilton, offers 93 rooms in a historic, iconic building in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hilton Entering New Global Markets
After entering new markets including Monaco, Tunisia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2023, Hilton is set to open its first hotels in Bermuda, Paraguay, Nepal, Laos, and Timor-Leste this year. We checked the current status of these hotels on the Hilton Honors app.
The first Hilton property in Bermuda, Bermudiana Beach Resort, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is a clifftop resort located five minutes from the famous Horseshoe Bay Beach. It is set to open in November 2024.
According to official information, Hilton will open its first hotel in Laos in Q3 2024. The opening date is not yet listed on the Hilton Honors app. DoubleTree Vientiane will be located in the heart of the capital city center.
The first Hilton hotel in Nepal, Hilton Kathmandu, will open in July. Its location is breathtaking—very central and close to all the main attractions. We are looking forward to visiting it!
In Paraguay, Hilton plans to open two hotels, both in the capital city, Asuncion. According to the Hilton Honors app, Palmaroga Hotel Asuncion, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will open in November 2024, but they do not accept the reservation yet. This neoclassical-style hotel is located in the iconic old town of Asuncion.
The Hilton Garden Inn Asuncion Aviadores del Chaco was officially announced by Hilton to open in Q3 2024. However, the app shows reservations available starting from February 2025.
Last but not least, Hilton announced the opening of Hilton Dili Palm Springs in Q3 2024. This will be the first international hotel in Timor-Leste. Although it is already listed on the Hilton Honors app, specific dates have yet to be provided. We are eagerly awaiting more details about this exciting new addition
