Hilton has announced the launch of Outset Collection by Hilton, the newest addition to the company’s growing lifestyle portfolio. This new brand is designed for travelers who want unique hotel stays that feel independent but still come with Hilton’s trusted quality and service.
The first Outset Collection hotels will open for booking in November, and the brand already has more than 60 properties in development across the United States and Canada. Hilton expects that number to grow to over 500 hotels in the long term.
The first confirmed locations include a basecamp-style hotel in Moab, Utah, and a boutique property in Chicago.
Local Feel, Global Confidence
With the launch of Outset Collection, Hilton continues to expand its presence in the fast-growing lifestyle hotel segment, giving travelers more choices that combine authentic local experiences with the comfort of a global brand. Guests will enjoy Hilton’s perks, including Hilton Honors points and digital check-in.
Outset Collection builds on the success of Hilton’s Curio Collection and Tapestry Collection, which have seen strong growth through hotel conversions. In the second quarter of 2025, conversions made up more than one-third of all Hilton openings across ten brands.
Like these brands, Outset Collection gives owners room to customize their offerings – from food and beverage concepts to the overall guest experience. A property might feature a casual café, a bar with local favorites, or a full-service restaurant, depending on what fits best for the location.

Conclusion
These conversion brands have been very successful for hotel owners, as more independent hotels look to benefit from the global reach and loyalty programs offered by companies like Hilton. For Hilton’s loyal guests, the key is that elite status perks and loyalty benefits are delivered smoothly and consistently across all properties.
This consistency, however, wasn’t always the case with some of the Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) properties when their partnership with Hilton first began. Based on feedback from our circle of acquaintances and friends, several guests reported uneven delivery of benefits.
In our own recent stays at several Curio Collection hotels in the United States, including locations in Phoenix and Chicago, we were impressed by the high quality of service. We had no issues receiving our Diamond member benefits, and overall, the hotels provided a truly enjoyable and well-managed experience.
