The next afternoon brought a thrilling jeep drive deeper into the desert, and our final evening was topped off with a peaceful camel ride at sunset, ending with champagne in the dunes.
4. Wildlife encounters on our doorstep
Gazelles just wandered past our villa like it was totally normal. Spoiler: it is. We also saw oryx, heard birds in the early morning, and felt like we were part of something ancient and wild.
