Our Experience at Conrad Cairo
As Hilton Diamond members, we’re truly saddened to see this beautiful property leave the Hilton luxury portfolio. We have fond memories of our New Year’s Eve stay in December 2021 and early January 2022. Our Cairo trip included stays in all Hilton hotels open at the time, and Conrad Cairo, along with the Ramses Hilton, undoubtedly stood out as the best among them.
Conrad Cairo offers an impressive location along the banks of the Nile River, right in the heart of bustling downtown. It’s within walking distance of numerous shops and cafes.
The rooms were recently renovated when we arrived, and as the first guests in our Nile-view room, we were taken with its fresh, luxurious look. The lobby renovation began just as we celebrated the new year on January 1, 2022. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed access to the Executive Lounge, available to elite Hilton Honors members and guests in executive rooms and suites. The quality of both food and service was excellent, with a nice selection offered during afternoon tea and happy hour, both served buffet-style.
Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile
Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile will join Accor’s other Egyptian properties, including Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah, Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor, and Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan and promises a memorable stay with a blend of local culture with elegant French style.
Conclusion
Conrad Cairo will depart from the Hilton brand on December 31, 2024, and will re-open as a Sofitel hotel in January 2025.
