Hilton Debuts Spark by Hilton in Vienna with Two New Hotels for Affordable Comfort

Hilton has announced a partnership with Verkehrsbüro Hospitality to bring two new Spark by Hilton hotels to Vienna, marking the debut of the brand’s premium economy offering in Austria. The Spark by Hilton Vienna Donaustadt and Spark by Hilton Vienna Messe Prater are both set to open later this year. This move also sees the phasing out of the “BASSENA” brand by Verkehrsbüro Hospitality, which will now be replaced by Spark by Hilton at these two properties.
Spark by Hilton

The Spark by Hilton Vienna Donaustadt, offering 198 rooms, is located in Vienna’s vibrant Twentytwo development area, close to the UNO City and Austria Center Vienna. Originally opened in April 2023 as BASSENA Vienna Donaustadt, it brings a fresh, modern approach to this popular location.

Meanwhile, the Spark by Hilton Vienna Messe Prater will feature 243 rooms and is situated just a short walk from the Vienna Exhibition Center. Previously the Austria Trend Hotel Messe Prater Vienna, it underwent a major renovation and reopened as BASSENA Vienna Messe Prater in 2020. Now, with its transition to Spark by Hilton, it joins the lineup of Hilton’s newest premium economy offerings.

Exceptional Value and Comfort

Hilton has designed the Spark brand to provide “exceptional value without compromise,” blending comfort, convenience, and quality. Both hotels will cater to both business and leisure travelers, promising a welcoming experience with thoughtful touches throughout. Key amenities and features at Spark hotels include:

  • Sleek Guest Rooms: Rooms are designed with simple, modern furnishings, featuring open closets, versatile workspaces, and bright bathrooms stocked with Zero% brand toiletries.

  • Inviting Public Spaces: Common areas are filled with multipurpose seating, from communal tables to rocking chairs, encouraging both relaxation and social interaction.

  • Signature Hydration Cart: Guests can enjoy free still and sparkling water, along with fresh fruit, served from Spark’s signature hydration cart.

  • 24-Hour Retail Market: For late-night cravings or any essentials, a convenient retail market is open 24/7, offering food, beverages, and daily necessities.

  • Vibrant Design: Spark hotels are characterized by a minimalist aesthetic punctuated with pops of color, expressive exteriors, and energizing artwork.

These two hotels will showcase Spark by Hilton’s promise to blend quality accommodations with a streamlined experience, making Vienna a fitting location for Hilton’s new brand as it expands across Europe.

Conclusion

Two new Spark by Hilton hotels are set to open in Vienna this December, marking the brand’s debut in Austria and following its initial launch in London. In early January 2025, the fourth Spark by Hilton will open in Sindelfingen, near Stuttgart, Germany.
