Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa is the only resort on Silhouette Island, a flourishing paradise where 93% of the land is a protected national park. With towering mountains, dense tropical rainforest, and pristine beaches, it’s a dream destination for nature lovers and those seeking an exclusive retreat. The resort features 115 villas, some nestled in the gardens, others offering direct beach access.
We first visited Hilton Labriz in August 2021 and returned in March 2025. This gave us the unique opportunity to compare our experiences and see how things have evolved over the years.
Getting to Silhouette Island
Before traveling, don’t forget to complete the Seychelles online travel declaration here. It can be submitted up to 30 days before departure, with three different processing options:
Standard (24 hours) – $11 per person
Premium (6 hours) – $32 per person
Expedited (60 minutes) – $76 per person
When booking your flights, keep in mind that the boat transfer from Mahé to Silhouette Island runs only twice a day—at 10 AM and 3 PM. The round-trip cost in 2025 is €225/$243 per adult (children 3-12 years get a 50% discount). Alternatively, you can opt for a private boat transfer (€850/$920 each way for up to 6 passengers) or a helicopter transfer (€743/$804 each way for up to 4 passengers).
Another factor to consider is the journey from Seychelles International Airport to the Hilton Jetty, where the boat departs. This transfer takes 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic. Hilton offers a transfer service for €85/$92 each way, which we chose this time due to a tight schedule between our flight arrival and the ferry departure. The driver was already waiting for us at the airport, and we made it to the jetty in time to enjoy a welcome drink while completing our check-in before boarding the boat.
After a 45-minute boat ride, we arrived at Silhouette Island, where resort staff greeted us warmly, waving from the jetty. Stepping off the boat, we were introduced to the team and split into buggies for a resort tour. It felt familiar, and we were happy to see that not much had changed since our last visit.

First Impressions & Resort Overview
Silhouette Island is breathtaking. The untouched beauty of the rainforest on one side and the stunning white beaches with clear blue waters on the other create an unmatched natural escape. The resort is large, offering a perfect combination of openness and privacy.
From the jetty, the first stop is Grann Kaz, a Creole restaurant housed in a historic building that also contains a small museum about the island and the Dauban family — worth a visit! Passing through a small local village with a traditional house display, a medical clinic, and a dive center, we arrived at the resort’s main area.
Hilton Labriz offers everything for both relaxation and adventure. Despite the number of villas, we never felt the resort was crowded, as most guests enjoy the privacy of their beachfront or garden villas.
One thing we noticed across the Seychelles is that the ocean near the beach is quite shallow during low tide, making swimming a bit tricky. The resort’s large pool is a great alternative, and it never felt overcrowded.
The activity center provides information about available experiences, including snorkeling, diving in Silhouette Marine Park and hiking. Guests can also enjoy tennis, padel tennis, and biking. A major new addition since our last visit is the giant tortoise sanctuary, where guests can feed the tortoises every morning.
For wellness seekers, the Eforea Spa is beautifully hidden among large granite rocks and offers various treatments, plus a fitness center.

Our Villa Upgrade: Beachfront vs. Private Pool
We booked five nights using Hilton Honors points and took advantage of the “Pay for 4, Stay for 5” promotion, paying 360,000 points. If booking with cash, room rates start at $400 per night for an advance purchase or $468 per night for a flexible rate.
As Hilton Diamond members, we were fortunate to receive an upgrade again. In 2021, we booked a King Garden Villa (a standard villa) and were upgraded to a King Beachfront Villa. This time, beach villas were fully booked, so we were upgraded to a King Garden Oasis Pool Villa.
Which one is better? It depends on what you prefer:
Beachfront Villa: Just steps from the sand with direct beach access, equipped with loungers and separated from neighboring villas by greenery.
Garden Villa with Plunge Pool: A completely private outdoor space with a spacious terrace and small pool but no beach view.
Both villas were beautifully designed, with large bathrooms, an indoor tub, and an outdoor shower. So it comes down to choosing between direct beach access or complete privacy with a private pool.
As Diamond members, we received a fruit platter and delicious white chocolate with nuts as a welcome gift, along with a voucher book. However, the voucher book was significantly reduced compared to last time. This time, we appreciated that bikes were complimentary for our entire stay—previously, they were only free for one day as part of the voucher book. On the downside, the romantic bath experience was no longer complimentary and now costs around $30.
One small disappointment: we missed the reusable metal water bottles that were provided last time. They weren’t even available for purchase in the hotel shop.

Dining at Hilton Labriz
A key thing to know: there are no other dining options on Silhouette Island, so all meals must be at the resort. Hilton Labriz has seven restaurants:
Grann Kaz – Creole cuisine
Aria – Mediterranean
Sakura – Asian fusion
Teppanyaki – Japanese (limited hours)
The Four Degrees – BBQ grill
Portobello – Mediterranean fine dining
Café Dauban – Buffet (breakfast + themed dinners)
Light snacks and drinks are available at Lo Brizan Bar.
Restaurant prices start at $25–30 per dish (plus 15% tax and 10% service charge). Expect to pay around $150–200 per dinner for two. The Teppanyaki experience costs about $150 per person (without drinks). Still water is always served free of charge.
We weren’t huge fans of the breakfast buffet at Café Dauban—it was often crowded and noisy, with an extensive selection but average flavors. We much preferred the Executive Breakfast at Portobello, a peaceful, à la carte experience with an amazing view.
For dinner, we enjoyed Grann Kaz (our octopus curry and roasted pork fillet were excellent) and Portobello, where the Italian-inspired pasta dishes were delightful.
However, the Carneval-themed buffet night at Aria was not well organized —we weren’t informed that the fire show was happening on the beach, and a sudden rain shower made seating arrangements chaotic. Despite this, the food itself was enjoyable and fresh. The buffet featured a selection of salads, fresh vegetables, and pickles as starters, followed by a variety of pizzas and a live station serving delicious nachos and tacos with several flavorful fillings. Of course, the meal ended with a nice selection of desserts. This dining experience cost around $50 per person without drinks.

Conclusion
Hilton Seychelles Labriz is one of Hilton’s exceptional properties, offering a unique and secluded island experience. When we first visited in 2021, we were blown away by the beachfront villa, exceptional service, and Diamond benefits. Since then, some perks have been reduced, and prices —especially for dining and transfers — have risen, but that seems to be a global trend in popular tourist destinations.
Despite these changes, we still loved our stay. The resort is stunning, spacious, and deeply connected with nature. If you’re looking for a tranquil, luxurious escape in the Seychelles, Hilton Labriz is absolutely worth considering.
