For October 2025, Marriott Bonvoy updated its Terms & Conditions, adding two new brands: the Series by Marriott collection and the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, which includes Trailborn and Postcard Cabins, along with their connected loyalty benefits. Here’s a brief overview of the updates.
The Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions (latest version from September 2025) provides clarity on these benefits; however, it is quite comprehensive.
Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy:
Trailborn and Postcard Cabins
The Outdoor Collection is Marriott Bonvoy’s latest offering for travelers seeking unique, nature-focused stays. The collection includes Trailborn Properties, which offer a blend of outdoor adventure and modern comfort.
Here’s what you need to know to earn points and elite credit at Trailborn properties:
- Points or Miles can be earned for reservations booked through Marriott Channels (Marriott’s website or Marriott Bonvoy app) or directly via Trailborn. Trailborn channels include the Trailborn support team, the property itself, or Trailborn.com.
- To ensure your Marriott Bonvoy account receives credit, members must add their membership number at the time of booking or before check-in if reserving outside Marriott channels.
- Award Redemption Stays must always be booked through a Marriott channel. If your stay is booked directly with Trailborn, contact their support team to link your Bonvoy account to earn points and qualifying nights.
In both cases, members earn 10 Marriott Bonvoy points per eligible U.S. dollar spent, receive one elite night credit per qualifying night, and are offered a welcome amenity as outlined in the overview below.
Series by Marriott Fully Integrated
Another significant update concerns Series by Marriott properties, which are now fully participating in the Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program, allowing members to earn and redeem points just like at other participating hotels. Guests receive only 5 base points for every U.S. dollar spent during eligible stays. For elite qualification, members earn one Elite Night Credit for every two qualifying nights per completed stay. Additionally, the Ultimate Reservation Guarantee applies—Platinum Elite Members and above enjoy USD 50 plus 45,000 Marriott Bonvoy points if the hotel is unable to honor a confirmed reservation. MycitizenM+
In addition, mycitizenM+, a subscription-based program at citizenM hotels, is now integrated with Marriott Bonvoy:
- Loyalty Points & Benefits: mycitizenM+ subscribers can earn and redeem Marriott Bonvoy Points or Miles when staying at citizenM hotels. Non-subscribers are not eligible for mycitizenM+ perks.
- Subscription Perks: Benefits include dining discounts, room discounts for direct bookings, and meeting room savings.
- Elite Status: Upon linking their mycitizenM+ subscription to a Marriott Bonvoy account, subscribers automatically receive Gold Elite Status. If a subscriber already holds Gold or a higher tier, they maintain their existing status.
- Program Rules: mycitizenM+ subscribers must follow both the mycitizenM+ terms and the Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program Rules.
