A few weeks ago, we published an artical about Small Luxury Hotels of the World and their new partnership with Hilton, outlining what Hilton customers could expect. At that time, details were limited, and only three SLH properties were available in the Hilton app. The situation has now changed significantly—Hilton Honors members can now access 294 SLH properties, and the benefits for elite members have been clarified. Let’s explore all the available information about this new partnership and the participating hotels.

Benefits for Hilton Honors Elite Members: What to Expect
Hilton Honors elite members can expect similar benefits at SLH properties as they do at other Hilton properties. In the Hilton Honors App, Diamond members can find the following benefits at SLH:
- Upgrades to preferred rooms: Subject to availability.
- Continental breakfast: For up to two guests per room worldwide, including in the USA, where you typically receive only an F&B credit at other Hilton properties.
- For your stay at SLH, you will earn Hilton Honors points just like you would at any Hilton property, depending on your status tier: diamond members earn a 100% bonus on points for every stay, gold members receive an 80% bonus and silver members a 20% bonus.
However, as a Diamond member, you will not receive the 1,000 Hilton Honors bonus points per stay.
Please note that you must book directly through Hilton to receive these benefits; booking through the SLH platform or third-party sites will not qualify you for the privileges.
Redeeming Hilton Honors Points at SLH Properties
With the exclusive Hilton-SLH partnership, Hilton customers have gradually gained access to SLH’s unique collection of high-end boutique hotels worldwide. Given the luxury nature of these boutique hotels, room rates can be quite high. This presents a fantastic opportunity for elite members collecting Hilton Honors points.
For expensive SLH properties, you can redeem your points for a standard room and achieve exceptional point value—often 0.6 cents or higher per point. Benefits such as Points & Money payment options, no resort fees on stays booked using all points, and the 5th Night Free on Standard Reward stays are also available at participating SLH properties.
Keep in mind that the best value is obtained by booking standard room rewards, which can be quickly booked up at smaller hotels. Therefore, it’s advisable to be flexible with your planning.
If you have a free night certificate, there are several excellent options at SLH properties. The free night certificate is valid for any standard room reward, and at SLH, you can find properties costing up to 150,000 points per night.
When we check SLH properties in the Maldives, we find several interesting options for redeeming Hilton Honors points or free night certificates. This could be a great alternative to the Waldorf Astoria Maldives, where standard room rewards are often fully booked.
